Audio Description Association (ADA)
The mission of VocalEyes, the Arts Council England-funded charity, is to make the arts and culture accessible to blind and partially sighted people. Founded in 1998, it provides access services and support to theatres, museums, galleries, heritage sites, opera and dance companies, and has researched and developed audio description in many sectors, pioneering work in outdoor arts, architecture and children’s theatre.
VocalEyes has recently launched www.accessibletheatre.org.uk which directly supports all areas of a venue’s staff to make sure that the audience receives an excellent welcome and holistic service.
